Missions

First Lutheran Church supports many missions inside and outside the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. Some are located right here in Columbus, Indiana and some are located as far away as Ghana, Africa. Here is the list of organizations we support financially and physically on a regular basis:

Just Friends – An adult day care center which had previously been held on the premises Monday thru Friday in Fellowship Hall.

Pregnancy Care Center – A Christian, life affirming agency that assists women and families in crisis pregnancy situations.

Love Chapel – An outreach of the Ecumenical Assembly in Bartholomew County, IN that provides food, financial and employment assistance to those in need.

Eastside Community Center - We support this organization by providing evening meals during the month of February.

Lutheran Disability Ministries – This organization ministers to people with developmental disabilities. See "Friendship Bile Study" on the Education page for an extension of this ministry at First Lutheran.

Ministry of Samuel Addo – Christian pastor in Ghana, Africa providing wells, electricity, churches and pastoral care.
